The Mystic River Foundry has produced many unusual castings over the past few years. Here is a look at a few of the more interesting ones.
Aluminum molds for producing rubber-worm bass baits.
We cast these bronze ears of corn from real corn on the cob for a local crop sciences firm that gives them as employee awards.

Food grade aluminum alloy molds for candy

 

Local artist and scientific illustrator Mary Jane Spring produced a silicone mold and lost-foam patterns from a preserved baby leatherback turtle, and then we cast  them in bronze, shown here before cleanup.
